When it comes to your dental health routine, you know the usual suspects: dental floss, toothpaste, and mouthwash/rinse. While all three of these factors play a key role in excellent dental hygiene, there is an ideal order for each of these steps that will maximize your cleaning job.
For many people, brushing is the first step in their daily dental routine, but did you know that your dental products will be most effective when used in a RINSE, FLOSS, BRUSH order? When you rinse and floss first, you remove all the debris between your teeth so that when you brush, it allows the toothpaste to get into the surfaces in between your teeth and infiltrate the enamel. This way, you benefit more from the fluoride, calcium and phosphate in toothpaste that can remineralize and correct small cavities. Thus, if you brush first, you are essentially removing the benefits of the toothpaste. If you follow the RINSE, FLOSS, BRUSH order in your daily dental routine, you’ll reap all the benefits of your toothpaste!
